"Big Science" is the name of this lighting sculpture and was also the title of my exhibition in D-Düsseldorf in 2014. It used to be a ceiling light and move down to eye level. It has two switches and the visitor is encouraged to use them, so this piece of art gives a haptic experience. Normally haptic is rare in exhibitions, but several of my objects try to bridge the gap between them and the visitor.
Soon it becomes obvious to the visitor, that the reaction to the switches is not alway predictable. Let's say that the light sculpture has its own moods and is not always willing to do what it has been told. In the end some visitors got the feeling, that the sculpture is playing with them, so it is not longer an art object but a subject.
